David Patte is the owner, wine maker and cider maker. He uses traditional, small-batch practices for both wine and cider making. He grew up in the United States (mostly) but is of French origin and as a youth, summers were spent on the family farm in the Rhone Valley. The quality of his wine and cider relies on sustainably- farmed high quality Willamette Valley grapes and apples. Their Pinot Noir comes from Cortell-Rose Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA of the Willamette Valley. Its co-owned and managed by Jessica Cortell who also farms top-tier vineyards such as Antica Terra, Seven Springs, and Medici. She chose this exceptional east-facing vineyard as her own for its superb potential and location on volcanic soils at 525-680 feet in elevation to make the purist expression of a time and place.
