The 'Girls' are the vines of the various vineyards of the regions that winemaker, Rob McDonald farms.  Getting to know each vineyard and the 'girls' within led to the creation of this remarkable Chardonnay.  A combination of two vineyards, aging styles, and a career of winemaking success yield this singular, round expression.

Composition: 100% Chardonnay

Tasting Notes:  The nose reveals exactly what to expect on the palate- each contains a rich layer of movie theatre buttered popcorn and roasted pineapple.  As the thirst quenching acid shows in the finish, additional flavors of guava and nutmeg build to round out a full palate experience.

Pairings:  For a wonderful start to the day try eggs Benedict with Bayonne ham or classic Croque Madame.  Not to be outdone, enjoy with fried softshell crab on corn maque choix, sharp cheddar mac 'n cheese, pumpkin risotto with fresh sage, or veal scaloppini.

Winemaking:  A combination of Napa Valley vineyards- one tank fermented and one barrel fermented in older French oak in order to reach balance of both the Chardonnay fruit and texture.

Winemaker: Rob McDonald - Rob and Kat met in Australia when Kat left California for an opportunity working with a brewery took her from home.  Three years later, Kat returned to the United States with Rob soon to follow.  They founded an import group to bring many of their favorite Australian producers to the United States, Kat would attend law school, and they would plant many a vine to pursue making their own wines.  Their parent portfolio holding, Art+Farm Wine, was founded in 2005 and they have been making wine ever since.
